I called this, "The Weed Flower," in my explanation of the picture above. I was commenting on the amount of beauty that God creates that no one ever sees. This "Weed Flower" grows on our fence row in Kentucky.
Well, it turns out one of my customers is a horticulturist. For several years I have wondered if this wild vine ... and accompanying flower ... had a name. As I described this jewel, he listened intently, then disappeared and returned with a positive identification.
You will never guess the name of my "Weed Flower." Would you believe ... "Passionflower"?
Is that appropriate for this Website or what? It is really hard to just call something like this "a coincidence." I had decided to incorporate this astounding beauty into my work long before knowing its name - regardless of its name. Passionflower! Wow.
