The Resurrection of Jesus Christ
If the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a hoax ... or just an innocently held errant belief ... "we are of all men most to be pitied!" (1Cor 15:19). And why is that? Because we have denied ourselves many of the "pleasures of sin" ... for a myth! (Heb 11:25).
Additionally, "we are even found to be false witnesses of God" - witnesses, "against God" - because we have declared God raised Jesus from the dead ... in an immortal body ... "alive forevermore" - when He did no such thing! (1Cor 15:15 and Rev 1:18).
If the resurrection of Jesus Christ is indeed a fraud, then "let us eat, drink and be merry ... for tomorrow we die" (Lk 12:19 and 1Cor 15:32).
But, if the resurrection of Jesus Christ actually occurred ... this changes everything. The Bible calls this an act of God whereby Jesus is "declared with power to be the Son of God, by the resurrection from the dead" (Ro 1:4).
This event is designed to cut through the noise of this age ... and invade our mental fog. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is an attack by God against death and is a demonstration that He is God of it. Death serves ... at His will. And to mortal man the conversation begins with two words: "Hear Him!" (Mt 17:5).
If the resurrection of Jesus Christ is of no interest to a mortal ... well, what is the definition of dullness? Shouldn't such a claim at least be investigated?
