Robin, first of all, I'm restating to you that I love the fact that you offer your teaching for free and the whole principle of your website is that what you were freely given you give freely also. Wish there were more like you! Anyway, I'm currently reading your treatise on tithing and you will be happy to know that I did indeed know more than 50% of the answers to your test before reading. However, I did not know all. A couple of years ago, my husband and I took a seminary course. After the 2nd semester we got into OT law and this came up. Our instructor was from DTS and he glossed over this issue. His words were "I'm not going there". He was currently a pastor of a large congregation. Needless to say we were astonished and withdrew from the course. Subsequent to this and many other distortions in the church coming to light in our lives, we have left organized "church" alltogether. We now have a small group of believers meeting in homes as NT scriptures describe. All this to say, God has blessed us unbelievably in every area of our lives as a result of hearing ONLY from Him and having the courage to be obedient to what we are hearing. Is it a sacrifice to leave the social aspect of organized religion? YES, but what kind of faith would we have if we were not willing to sacrifice? And what kind of sacrifice would it be if it did not cost us greatly? This is not to pat ourselves on the back. This is to encourage others to get into God's word, see what HE says and act on it! You may be acting alone at first. But He will bring others around you even if it's only a small group of other courageous followers. Thank you so much for your e-books. I know that much Biblical research went into many of your topics. I truly found the tithing topic quite interesting, as I had questioned the tithe several years ago, after a youth that I used to mentor asked me some questions concerning the topic. Your treatise actually motivated me to learn more of Biblical & Christian history. expositories, cultural settings, etc. I am already in an overseas mission field so I do not have the luxury of being educated/mis-educated/trained by scholars. I am just a common "layperson" that is using his priestly duties to serve an underprivileged nation. Have you ever thought of linking your website with Facebook? Thanks again and always God bless...

Just finished the ebook on tithing. My husband and I came to the conclusion several years ago that God does not require a tithe of us, siting most of the scriptures you use. We stopped doing it. We further concluded that: (1) well educated pastors teach this because they are simply passing on what they have been taught without question -or- they know the truth and are afraid to teach it for fear that the people will not give "enough." They are afraid to trust God for adequate finances to support the church building and salaries. (2) the "laymen" believe the tithe teaching because they do not read their Bibles enough to know what the word of God teaching on tithing or any other subject -- they just take what the pastors say as truth while their Bibles collect dust -- they are ignorant by choice. Excellent work -- I hope it spreads like wildfire.

Helo Robin, I Love your writings and have Just finished reading "Running Oration" A very good seamless account. I note your comment on Matt 12:40. A subject ignored by most.
